It turned out OK. I have attached a photo I took just after I finished it.
I added a bit of trim and a name plate.
My daughter says her dog loves it.

I can tell you the Alabama winter gets mighty cold down here.  Finally I’ve found a product that takes dogs and dog houses seriously.  The insulated walls and ceiling makes such a difference.  And finally a doghouse that has got windows, and decent sized ones at that.  I don't understand why no-one else makes doghouses with windows.  My dog loves his new home.
